Full Product Description
Product Overview
The ADA Docking Stand is a physical mounting stand installed at checkout counters, service points, kiosks, and point-of-sale terminals. It holds credit-card terminals but allows them to be removed from the dock when needed for accessibility.
The stand includes:
- A U-shaped pull handle designed for one-hand operation
- A magnetically stabilized docking base
- A guided slide-and-lift release motion
- A universal backplate for Ingenico and Verifone devices
- A tilt and rotation system for visibility and PIN privacy
The stand is fixed to the counter, but the payment terminal is not. Customers can take the terminal into their hands, lap, wheelchair tray, or closer viewing range.

How the Dismount System Works
Operation Summary
- The terminal sits in the docking stand facing the customer.
- A customer may slide their hand under the U-shaped handle.
- With light force, the customer pulls the handle toward them.
- The terminal lifts out of the dock and remains attached by a flexible cable.
- The customer can now hold the terminal, view it closely, position it for PIN entry privacy, or place it in their lap.
- When finished, the terminal slides back into the dock and clicks gently into place.
The dismount motion requires minimal strength and meets ADA operable-parts low-force requirements.
